The carnivore diet

The carnivore diet is a way of eating in which meat is the main focus.
Well, meat mostly. Animal organs, too. (Which, by the way, are full of nutrients.) There have been different kinds of the diet for a long time. In 1856, a German author wrote a book about the benefits of eating only animals. This was one of the first modern references to the idea. Dr. Shawn Baker, an athlete and orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Paul Saladino, a psychiatrist, and Jordan Peterson have helped spread the word about allmeat diets in recent years (a psychologist).

Different kinds of carnivores range from those who only eat meat and organs to those who also eat:

-Eggs from fish and other seafood / Animal fats (suet, lard, and tallow).
-Small amounts of low-lactose, full-fat dairy.
-Some fruits and vegetables in small amounts

What are the pros of eating like a carnivore?

Some people say that the diet helped them get better from problems like metabolic dysfunction, autoimmune diseases, arthritis, and even depression. Others say that the
way they eat gives them energy all day and gives them the washboard abs they've always wanted.

How the carnivore diet can lead to weight loss?

In the same way, people who lose weight on the carnivore diet probably benefit (at least in the short term) from how strict the diet is. The clear rules make it easier to figure out what to eat. You can't eat highly processed foods, so you have to fill your plate with protein, some fat, and maybe some fruits and vegetables. If these are the only foods you can eat, you may end up eating less than you need.

Potential adverse effects of a meat-only diet

Because you don't eat many or any plant foods on a carnivore diet, you may be missing out on some nutrients. Even more so if you eat this way for a long time. The liver and other organ meats do have a lot of good things in them.

But liver is missing one thing: Fibre
That means you might have trouble going to the bathroom. Vitamin C, which is found in citrus fruits, peppers, berries, and other plant foods, is hard to get on a diet that is mostly meat.

Other problems with the diet of meat-eaters

It's possible that some people will feel better while following this extremely restrictive diet. However, restrictiveness is not beneficial in terms of long-term health.

Longitudinal studies of people who adhere to extremely restricted diets show that the vast majority eventually return to their previous eating patterns.
Following a carnivore diet long term means, sorry, you can’t eat cake at your kid’s birthday party this year, or on your birthday.

When you go out for drinks with colleagues, no booze for you. Because, that’s right, all alcohol is plant-based. If your goal is to lose weight and keep it off, you need to have a plan that allows your diet to
become more sustainable.

The same goes for people trying the carnivore diet to deal with a specific health issue.
